Tradition. Vetiver (Khus) has been used in Indian summers for over a millennium — woven into mats, infused into water, applied as a cooling oil for inflamed skin.
Science. Shea butter is rich in oleic + stearic fatty acids that mimic skin's natural sebum. Vetiver essential oil is clinically anti-inflammatory and has a slight skin-cooling effect.
Sourcing. Shea butter is unrefined, fair-trade, sourced from a women's cooperative in Ghana. Vetiver is from Karnataka. Almond oil cold-pressed in Himachal Pradesh.
